- Matthews Rotational fans never wobble. Their axial rotation is regulated by an elaborate centrifugal braking mechanism. Motor heads can be infinitely positioned vertically in 180 degree arcs; the greater the angle of the motor to the horizontal support rods (up or down), the faster the axial rotation. Axial rotation can also be regulated by the speed of the motors. Optimum air movement and a slow and controlled axial rotation are achieved by both motor head position and motor speed.
- The Vent-Bettina is either equipped with metal blades and metal decorative guards, metal blades and metal safety cages or solid mahogany blades. For ceiling heights of 7.0 Ft or higher in the U.S. and 8.3 Ft/2.5 M or higher in Canada, the Vent-Bettina with metal blades can be equipped with safety cages. Upgrading the two decorative cages to safety cages is an additional cost.
- When ordering the Vent-Bettina, please specify the light kit for the light adaptable model. Not all light kits are available in all finishes. Please call 1-800-807-1826 to confirm light kit availability in the finish you desire.
- The Vent-Bettina may be mounted with 5, 10, 20, 30, 48 or 72” down rods. 48 and 72” down rods are an additional cost.
- The Vent-Bettina can be mounted with Matthews Fan 29 degree slant ceiling canopy. Please specify “flat”, “slant” or ”lower downrod” ceiling canopies when ordering.
- Brushed Copper, Polished or Brushed Brass, White, Bronzette and Black Nickel finishes are special order at this time. There are no special order charges for these finishes. Please call 1-800-807-1826 for lead times.
- The Vent-Bettina is damp location rated with metal blades only. Damp location protective powder/clear coatings for Chrome and Brushed Nickel finishes are an additional cost. Damp location protective coatings for Polished Copper/Brass, Brushed Copper/Brass, Black, White, Bronzette and Black Nickel are no additional charge. Please call 1-800-807-1826 for lead times.

- Safety Laboratory Listings: All ceiling and wall fans are CUL listed for Damp Location provided that metal blades are used and that fan has special protective clear or powder coatings. Underwriters Laboratories suggests that Matthews Fan safety cage/metal blade combination be used with our fans when mounted in rooms with ceiling heights of less than 10.0 Ft. In the U.S., if safety cages are used, our fans can be mounted on ceilings or walls with ceiling heights as low as 7.0 Ft. In Canada, if safety cages are used, our fans can be mounted on ceilings or walls with ceiling heights as low as 8.3 Ft/2.5 M.
- Finishes: Standard (stock) - Brushed Nickel, Polished Chrome, Polished Copper, Bronze (plated) and Black; Special (non-stock) - Brushed Copper, Polished Brass, Brushed Brass, White, Bronzette (powder coat) and Black Nickel
- Downrods for Ceiling Fans: ALL Matthews ceiling fans are equipped with at no charge one field-cuttable down rod of 5, 10, 20 or 30,” and one ceiling mounting apparatus (for a flat or vaulted ceiling).Only if 48” or 72” downrods, upgrades or replacement parts are ordered will charges apply for this otherwise no charge equipment. If not otherwise specified, standard equipment is a 20” down rod and a flat ceiling mounting apparatus.
- Wall controls: Matthews fans require fully variable wall controls for optimum regulation. Remote controls and three speed (High-Medium Low) controls will not function with our products.
