Ever wish you could have a perfect moonlight any time you want? We did, so that’s why we set out to find a way to create a full moonlight effect in our backyards. It was a cinch to do so with just a tree and few outdoor lighting fixtures from Quorum and Hadco.

When the full moon is out, it casts a soft glow over the area. One way to create a broad “glowing” effect is by placing a few spotlights or flood lights in the trees.

Try to place them rather high so that the light effect appears to be more random shadow effect as the leaves and branches play with the illumination. Placing flood lights and spotlights high also allows the lights to cast a larger glow, much like a full moon does.

Another simple method is the use of down lights.

Hadco Downlytes (yes, they spell it differently) are especially made to be carefully placed in the trees. These lights are not as bright as spotlights or flood lights so their effect is much more subtle. Place these lights rather low so it casts a more concentrated but calming lighting effect.
